RESEARCH INTERESTS

My main research focus is to understand the microbial processes leading to the formation of electroactive biofilms at the surface of electrodes in Microbial Fuel Cells (MFCs). Microbial communities are studied using a range of techniques including taxonomic microarrays, FISH, RT-PCR and qPCR.
